GESTURE DRAWING FROM THE FIGURE with CHRISTOPHER BRIZZARD
Saturday, March 23
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
$125 (model fees included)
WORKSHOP FULL - In case of an opening, please call Leslie @405-822-1011 to be place on a the waiting list.
Drawing from a live model can be an overwhelming task at first. Where do you start? How do you break down what you see into manageable pieces? In the morning you will be introduced to the important bony landmarks of the skeleton, a simplified figure structure that can be built upon, and how to combine these with a sense of gesture. In the afternoon, we will start with short poses (1, 3 and 5-minute gestures) and gradually increase the time up to 20 minutes by the end. The goal is for you to combine a sense of gesture with a fundamental knowledge of figure structure to produce drawings that are loose, yet solid.
