WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
“I had no realization of what was missing from my artwork until becoming a student at the Conservatory for Classical Art. It is at the C.C.A. that I have been taught the foundations of drawing and painting in the classical tradition of the great masters. Through the superior tutelage of the Conservatory’s instructors and visiting artists, I have learned that creating fine art involves an intense study of the many elements of art. Now, I sit at my easel and enjoy the process of producing paintings that are grounded in the very principles of art that have transcended the centuries by the finest artists in history."

“I am a homeschooling mom who is quite picky in choosing instructors to teach my daughter. CCA has been part of my daughter's weekly schooling for the past two years. Under Leslie Lienau's direction and instruction, my daughter has quickly progressed in skill and ability, has gained recognition, and has won awards for her artwork. The instructors at CCA are accomplished artists and gifted teachers. I appreciate the manner in which instructors communicate and collaborate with students. Students are not told what to do, but instead are asked questions about the choices they are making as an artist. I feel that my daughter is receiving the absolute best art education available. I highly recommend CCA classes to other homeschool families, both those looking to introduce their children to the arts and those who wish to prepare their children for future academic art studies."

“Upon retiring at age 70, I wanted to pursue a second career as an artist. My objective was to become an oil painter. As a “mature student” I knew I needed some excellent training to begin. To my very good fortune, I met Leslie Lienau, art teacher and founder of CCA. I found that Leslie’s teaching, with her art education and drawing/painting skills, to be exactly what I needed. Using the Atelier method, she teaches “learning to draw by learning to see”, before proceeding to painting. Leslie instills confidence in her students with her patience, knowledge, and emphasis on practice. It didn’t take long for me to realize I was getting the quality education experienced by famous artists trained in ateliers in years past. Her teaching staff is second to none. I have attended several of the Art Workshops she provides at her CCA studio. The instructors came from Scottsdale, AZ; San Francisco, CA, Florence Italy, and New England. The workshops are exciting, rigorous, information rich, and very affordable. They provided me the rare opportunity to learn from professionals right here in Oklahoma. I highly recommend the CCA if you are serious about art education for yourself or for your children."

“I took oil painting about 30 years ago but gave it up after becoming frustrated with my drawing skills. About 2 years ago, I returned to my art with Leslie Lienau at the CCA Studio. Her lessons demystified the art of drawing with perspective and now I’m also learning to use pastels. It’s been so much fun and I feel very successful. I know I’m a work in progress, but I look forward to more improvement in my skills."
