This course will give students a foundational knowledge of drawing. We will learn about materials, and a variety of drawing techniques.
Students will complete sequential lessons that will instill good practices and advance understanding of how to translate subjects from life to the 2D surface. In addition to the exercises, students will complete several small and manageable drawings during this intensive 8-week course. Supply list will be discussed during the first class.

Strathmore Drawing Paper, 9X12, 80lb
Staedtler Lumograph Drawing Pencils (recommended brand) 2H, H, 2B, 4B (or you can purchase a set of 6 - 12 pencils) *Optional: Staedtler Mars Lumograph Black Graphite/Carbon Prismacolor or Faber Castell Kneaded Rubber Eraser (please don't purchase a blue kneaded eraser) Staedtler white rubber eraser Masking tape (cream, white or black) |
PAYMENT POLICIES - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
•• New students must pay a non-refundable $25 registration fee. Currently enrolled students are not required to pay a registration fee. If a student is absent for 3 or more months, a new registration fee of $25 is required to enroll in a class or the atelier program.
•• There are no refunds if the student cannot attend the designated hours each month. Students should plan ahead for holidays, travel and studio closing to get their hours in each month. Unused hours may not be rolled over to the next month. This policy applies to all session options.
