THE ATELIERS


​ACADEMIC ATELIER
The Academic Atelier focuses on teaching foundational drawing skills to both beginner and experienced artists, working primarily from life.  After progressing through the drawing curriculum, students learn traditional oil painting techniques.  

​COLOR STUDY ATELIER
The Color Study Atelier focuses on studying the attributes of color, and how they are affected by warm and cool light.  Influenced by the methods of American Impressionist Henry Hensche, artists improve their understanding of color.

FIGURE AND PORTRAIT ATELIER
The Figure and Portrait Atelier focuses on techniques for capturing the figure and portrait in a variety of mediums.  Emphasis is on working from life, and sessions regularly include drawing and painting the live model.
